I’ve been on the everyday path of spiritual growth for most of my life, and I’ve written about it quite a bit, so I might as well start sharing my thoughts with others who travel this route to “enlightenment.”  Of course my idea of the everyday path may be different from yours.  For me, it means that I learn and grow from the challenges and lessons of what seems to be a very ordinary life. The self-help books we buy at the store tend to be written by people who have become wildly successful in the eyes of the world, and they’re telling us how we can follow the same path to fame and glory.  A blog is a good place for us ordinary folk to share the stories  of how we “self-helped” ourselves!

Nearly ten years ago I did have one book  published – but it didn’t lead to fame, glory, or wealth – in fact, it’s out of print now. Getting a book published is a major feat in itself, but selling it to book stores and readers requires a major publicity scheme – not always within the scope of a first-time author’s expertise.  If you’d like to read how my dreams were the light on my everyday path for many years, you can still find my book on Amazon for one or two cents. It’s called Dream Weaving: Using Dream Guidance to Create Life’s Tapestry.

Dream Weaving tells the story of my young adult and parenting years. Now I’m a parent of young adult children; the daughter of elderly parents — my mom living in a nursing home; and a newly certified life-cycle celebrant — a profession I hadn’t even heard about until two-and-a-half years ago.  In this new stage of life,  I continue to learn and grow as I trod the ever-fascinating path of the everyday life!
